Educational Institutions

The program is built so as to maximally engage all the relevant staff within the institution, with the goal of providing answers to all the challenges and obstacles with which the institute has to deal with regarding the smartphones.

A preliminary meeting is held, with the management staff of the institution (head of the institution, principal, educational advisor, programs manager, appointed head to this programs). In the meeting the detailed program is presented, including the main emphases, defining the goals for the program and adapting it to the intuition.

The program has 3 content components:

–          זמן מסך ו”התמכרות” לשימושים השונים (רשתות חברתיות, סדרות וכו’).

–          חשיפה לתכנים בעייתיים (מיניות, פורנוגרפיה וסינון).

–          פגיעות ברשת (התנהלות חברתית תקינה וזהירות מסיכונים).

The structure of each component:

A. a preliminary – preparatory meeting with the educational councilor and the person appointed to head the program in that institution.

B. Training the educational staff – a 3-hour meeting, divided as follows:

  1. A professional lecture on the topic.
  2. Discussions with the educational councilor and the head of the program, adapting the program to the institution.
  3. Providing the frame for the classes, and the content materials (video clips, extracts from professional articles, practical tools’ etc.). Jointly building the outline for the 1-2 sessions with each class. These class sessions will be a continuation and an assimilation process of the materials and messages delivered to each class by the professional guide, appointed for that institution, by Screensaverz. All this will be done with the support of the educational councilor and the advisor from Screensaverz.

C. A lecture by the advisor from Screensaverz to the whole class/age group – breaking down the walls and preparing the ground for a meaningful and continuous assimilation of the messages which the teachers will bring to their class.

D. The presentation, by the educational staff, of the contents and issues which were built in the workshop.

E. Building, together with the advisor from Screensaverz.

F. Production of the “Peak Day” on the subjects of(compiling the continual Institutional regulations, Reception day, Filtering event and transferal to a simple cell phone/ limited in time, etc.).

In addition, and as part of the program:

A. An evening parent’s get together in order to connect the parents to the process and to provide for them the tools to advance the issues at home. 

B. Continuous activities will be organized with the student patrol in order to create an atmosphere in the Institution around restricting time, signing on Quality Time, Ect. The subjects that the program will deal with are social pact, filtering and more).

C. A summation meeting will occur at the end of the year including all the participants in order to analyze the program’s effectiveness and to form continuity for the next year.

Total of 26 meetings (including 2 Peak Days).

  • Preparing school regulations-Workshops together with educational advisors(prepared jointly with supervisors from the Ministry of Education).
  • Pornography-concerning the “hunters” lurking behind the screen of our children, on the effects of viewing these types of content and the different methods of coping.
  • Secrets of this medium and how we as educators can cause our students to reduce screen time and add moments of growth, creativity and meaning.

What is the difference between series, computer games and “LIKES” for my feelings of contentment?

How do we form healthy user habits in using this amazing technological tool?

  1. Damage from the network-Words are strength, especially in a world where pressing a key forms an exposure to a billboard and can even kill-we have the power to change!

  2. Pornography-this giant industry lurks behind the screen at every search we make at Google, tries to cause us to view content that we really don’t want to be exposed to.

Concerning our rights to choose the content that we are interested in and finding the strength within ourselves to take full responsibility concerning who and what will enter our brain and heart.

  1. Time management- when the screen grabs a large part of our lives, moments of time become a meaningful asset so let’s manage it wisely.

  2. Healthy sexuality in the world of Screens- What is the connection between the series and the social networks and my body image and my self confidence as a young woman.
